Additional Note

Swim meets are fun and a great way for swimmers to gauge their improvement as the season progresses. For members new to competitive swimming there are a few simple things to know about swim meets that will help you and your swimmer(s) have a good time.

Swimmer(s) should arrive to a swim meet approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled time for warm up to begin. They should suit up upon arrival and locate the KSC team on deck. Swimmers are requested to wear KSC team t-shirts at all times on deck – these t-shirts can be purchased through the KSC office for a minimal cost.

Swimmers should bring water and snacks. Swim meets can be several hours long and swimmers will get hungry and thirsty. It is also a good idea to bring cards or some other similar activity to occupy the swimmers as there is some waiting involved.

The best seat in the house for parents to watch their swimmer(s) is down on the pool deck. We ask you to be involved by working as an official in some capacity as this is the only time parents are allowed on deck.
